Berea is known as the Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky, with their Artisan Village and studios Berea has lots of handmade jewellery, fabric stores, galleries, glass studio and unique boutique and gift shops. Visit the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen Galleries and Craft school where you can learn how these items are crafted and try it out yourself. Berea also has candle and wood shops as well.
Across Berea they’re the lots of murals designed by local artists these are the perfect place to get a fantastic photo.
Berea is also well known for its outdoor activities including hiking trails, biking trails, and kayaking. The Pinnacles in the Berea College Forest has been named the number one hike in Kentucky. There are multiple different hiking trails visitors can complete with the longest one being 1.8 miles long.
History buffs rejoice Berea has something for you! Walk in Daniel Boone’s footsteps, visit the L& N Depot, Hike the John B. Stephenson Memorial Forest & Anglin Falls.
