Location & What's Nearby

Hotel de Glace sits around 45 minutes outside Quebec City, close to the Valcartier outdoor adventure park, in a wooded setting that suits its dramatic ice-and-snow architecture. This is very much a destination in itself rather than a base for city sightseeing, so most guests combine a night here with a stay in Quebec City. It’s around a 45-minute drive to Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport.

Why We Recommend It

In our experience, one night at Hotel de Glace makes a genuinely memorable addition to a wider Quebec itinerary rather than a stay in its own right. We always recommend pairing it with a few nights in Quebec City so you get both the novelty of sleeping on ice and the comfort of a conventional hotel.
