Some of the holiday experiences I find to be among the most popular are Canada rail journeys. I've had first-hand experience onboard Canada's most famous and highly recommended rail operators – Rocky Mountaineer and VIA Rail. Both are amazing and take in wonderful scenery across so many spectacular landscapes. It doesn't matter which route you choose – you just need to sit back and admire the beauty of being transported to your next destination.
Canada is home to some of the most remarkable wildlife in the world. My experiences have included amazing whale watching from Vancouver where I was able to spot humpback whales and pilot whales. Heading east, I also enjoyed whale watching setting off from St John’s, Newfoundland, which was equally spectacular.
If you're looking to see the sights while being transported in comfort and letting an expert guide take care of everything, I would highly recommend a Canada escorted tour. I embarked on the Rockies Summer Premium Tour during one of my previous visits to Canada. There was amazing scenery everywhere you looked and I stopped to admire the views among the Rockies as well as visiting beautiful lakes including Emerald Lake, Moraine Lake and Lake Louise.
