Eastern Canada’s Lakes and Lodges Self Drive

Day 1 - Fly to Montreal

Arrive in Montreal and transfer to your downtown hotel, spend the remainder of your day exploring Montreal.

Day 2 - Explore Montreal

Today enjoy exploring the sights of Montreal, we have included admission to the Hop on Hop off bus to ensure you don’t miss anything!

This narrated tour explores all aspects of bustling downtown Montreal. Discover the intriguing blend of Old-World charm and North American modernism as you pass many of Montreal’s fascinating landmarks. Enjoy the freedom of leaving the bus, exploring the attractions of your choice at leisure and boarding another bus later. Photo stops are enjoyed at the Old Port, Mont Royal (from which you receive a prime view of the city), Olympic Park, and St. Joseph’s Oratory.

Day 3 - Montreal to Eastern Townships

This morning pick up your car hire and begin your drive to Quebec’s Eastern Townships. This region of Quebec is home to quaint towns each with their own unique features. For outdoor lovers there is plethora of woodland walking trails waiting to be explored or rent a bike and cycle through the trails.

Staying in Sherbrooke for the evening.

Day 4 - Eastern Townships

Another full day to explore Quebec’s Eastern Townships.

Day 5 - Eastern Townships to Quebec City

Following along the St Lawerence River arrive in the historic Quebec City. Explore Quebec Cities old town filled with French inspired architecture all centred around the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac and iconic building in Quebec City’s skyline.

Day 6 - Explore Quebec City

Today enjoy a guided walking tour of Quebec City, on this historic walking tour get an in-depth guide to these historic streets.

Follow your cicerone (guide) off the beaten path and be enticed by the charms of Old Québec, a UNESCO world heritage gem! Historical characters will let you experience 400 years of the city’s captivating past! In addition to the Château Frontenac, the Dufferin Terrace and the Notre-Dame-de-Québec Cathedral Basilica, the tour will also take you to the Petit-Champlain district and Place Royale to admire numerous 17th and 18th century buildings.

Day 7 - Quebec City to Mont Tremblant

Your drive today takes you from Quebec City to the charming town Mont Tremblant. Set in the Laurentian Mountains, Mont Tremblant is the perfect destination for an outdoor adventure enjoy exploring the various hiking trails or kayaking out on the lakes.

Day 8 - Mont Tremblant

A full day to explore the Mont Tremblant and the surrounding area.

Day 9 - Mont Tremblant to Outaouais Region

Leaving Mont Tremblant, you drive today takes you to the Outaouais Region of Quebec. This region is shaped by Quebec’s longest river which shares the same name as the town. Home to wide open spaces and large parks making Outaouais the perfect destination for exploring the outdoors.

Day 10 - Outaouais Region

A full day to explore Quebec's Outaouais region. 

Day 11 - Outaouais to Keene

Your journey today takes you from Quebec into Ontario to Keene. On route make a stop at Ottawa and explore Canada’s capital before arriving in Keene an historic old town.

Day 12 - Explore Keene

A full day to explore Keene.

Day 13 - Keene to Toronto

A short drive today to the metropolitan city of Toronto, spending the rest of your day at leisure to explore Toronto’s top sights.

Day 14 - Niagara Falls

A trip to Toronto is not complete without a visit to the magnificent Niagara Falls. This full day Niagara Falls tour brings participants to one of Canada’s most spectacular sights. The route to Niagara runs through the towns of Hamilton - "the steel capital of Canada", St. Catharines - "the fruit basket of Ontario", and the wine region of the Niagara Peninsula. An ample amount of time will be spent at the falls to allow for opportunities to take pictures, join any attraction and admire the thundering waters. Other highlights include a trip along the beautiful Niagara Parkway which winds its way along the Niagara Gorge passing through the historic town of Niagara-on-the- Lake.

Returning to Toronto in the evening.

Day 15 - Fly from Toronto

Day at leisure in the city before your overnight flight from Toronto homeward. We highly recommend taking a water taxi over to Toronto Island this morning, enjoy a leisurely stroll, relax on the beach and take in some of the stunning city views. If not why not finish off some last minute shopping at Yorkdale Mall or the Eaton Centre.
