Hidden gem destination most people miss

• Newfoundland – It is often overlooked but is only a 5-hour 30 minutes flight from the UK, and less than some European destinations. It is full of charming towns and communities, with not only colourful people but colourful buildings, too, like Jellybean Row. Gros Morne National Park can hold its own against any other park, with its heard of moose, caribou, and if you are really lucky black bears. It is also great for marine wildlife with 170km of coastline – expect to see dolphins, porpoises, and whales.

A first class service 

It was very easy to contact the company by phone and talk to an an actual person. Over a couple (or more) days, we always spoke to the same person, Karen, who was extremely helpful and not in any way pushy. Our booking was somewhat complicated due to World Cup match games being played on our proposed itinerary. Karen was able to mitigate the inconvenience this caused so we were able to book the trip we actually wanted. When Karen promised to call us, she did - and always on time. Email confirmation of the booking, plus all other information needed for the holiday was promptly sent. The whole process was relaxed and easy. Karen obviously knew her stuff. She was engaging but polite and her conversations were always convivial. A first class service!
