Port Hardy Airport is about 15 minutes' drive, making this an easy first or last night on a Vancouver Island itinerary, whichever direction you're travelling in.

Its waterfront position makes it a natural overnight stop before or after the Inside Passage ferry, and a relaxed base if you're touring by self-drive or motorhome. The balcony views alone are worth requesting an early check-in for, and with 2 on-site dining options you don't need to go far after a day on the road.
