Cape Cod Holidays

Cape Cod’s beaches are considered among the best in the world, especially those along the Cape Cod National Seashore, a 40-mile stretch of unspoiled sandy beach in Outer Cape Cod. With 559.6 miles of coastline, Cape Cod offers many beautiful sandy beaches for you to enjoy.

There is something for everyone, from the flats on Cape Cod Bay where children can enjoy the warm water tidal pools at low tide, to windsurfing locations at Hardings Beach in Chatham and Kalmus Beach in Hyannis, to barrier beaches with off-roading trails like Sandy Neck Beach in Barnstable. A walk along Coast Guard Beach in Eastham - which regularly ranks on Dr. Beach's annual list of the Top 10 Beaches in America - is spectacular, especially at sunset. Old Silver Beach in North Falmouth, Nauset Beach in Orleans, Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown and Mayflower Beach in Dennis are also among the more popular beaches for visitors.

Cape Cod tests all public bathing beach waters. Monitoring results from previous seasons indicate exceptional water quality on Cape Cod, and the Cape Cod National Seashore beaches are part of the Blue Wave Campaign for quality. Find additional beach water quality information here.

Remember, we share our Cape Cod National Seashore beaches with native wildlife, including sharks and seals.

There are plenty of waterfront restaurants for your dining pleasure.

There are so many things to do on Cape Cod. You'll find internationally acclaimed beaches, rich Pilgrim history, incredible natural beauty and some of the best whale watching in the world. Hiking trails, bike paths and cranberry bogs abound. Miles of coastline make Cape Cod the perfect destination for swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. The Cape and Islands' mild yet interesting climate provide a paradise for golfers, naturalists, and birdwatchers. The region has long been recognized for its artistic significance and its historic towns are still a haven for artists, fine theatre, and museums.
