North Star

North Star is the new name for the recently renovated Point of View Suites in Louisbourg, Cape Breton Island. Situated on a peninsula overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Louisbourg Harbour, the hotel was remodelled this year by Scottish designers Colin and Justin to create a range of suites and rooms that offer a unique connection to the wonders of this coastal region. Many of the rooms enjoy spectacular ocean views and vistas of the world-famous Fortress of Louisbourg.

The hotel restaurant offers a choice of fresh local cuisine and its Saturday and Sunday brunch have become a legend in their own lunchtime! There’s also a stylish bar with regular live music performances.

The hotel’s twelve suites offer ocean views, and most have a compact kitchen, making them ideal for longer stays.  All the rooms  have queen beds, cable television, free internet, hairdryers, fridges and microwaves.

The hotel is located within walking distance of the Louisbourg Playhouse where you can enjoy Cape Breton music, live theatre and dance.  It’s also ideally placed to explore miles of rugged Atlantic coast hiking trails, bracing rocky coves and dramatic ocean waves.
