Located near Bandera, Texas, proclaimed as the Cowboy Capital of the World, the Dixie Dude is not a resort ranch. It is an old-time working stock ranch founded by William Wallace Whitley in 1901, and is now into the fifth generation of showing you true Texas hospitality.

Situated on 725 acres, the Dixie Dude Ranch offers fine vistas of spectacular Texas Hill Country, with plenty of room to relax, catch a glorious sunset or kick up your heels.

Dining at Dixie Dude Ranch is a culinary delight. You'll eat healthy, hearty, Texas-sized meals prepared for you three times a day. Meals are served family-style in the friendly atmosphere of our big chow hall, as well as outdoor barbecues, and occassional cowboy breakfasts served out on the range. Indulge in our famous BBQ ribs, pork sausage, brisket and fixings every Saturday evening and Southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes, homemade rolls and fixings every Sunday afternoon. When the chow bell rings, you'll come running to savour our home-cooked meals.
With all meals we serve iced tea, homemade lemonade, water and milk. Feel free to bring your own beverage of choice as well.
