Fishing in Canada

Canada has a reputation for high-quality fishing opportunities and is known as the Salmon Capital of the world. With many Lakes, Rivers and National Parks, Canada has the perfect fishing location for you.

One of our favourite fishing spots in Canada is Campbell river, a coastal city in British Columbia on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Campbell River is home to the deep-swimming "Chinook" also known as Springs or King Salmon, who gather yearly to feed on herring and needlefish. Millions of migrating salmon also travel through Campbell River on their way to spawn in their birth river. We can book 5 hour and 8 hour guided fishing charters that depart from downtown Campbell River. 

Campbell River is only one of many five-star fishing locations in Western Canada. Others include: Fraser River, Jasper National Park (specifically Lake Maligne) known for its breath-taking views and wide variety of trout, and Sonora Resort where you can catch fresh salmon in saltwater and observe eagles and bears do the same thing.

The East Coast of Canada has been known to be one of the world’s greatest fishing grounds for centuries. This is due to the shallow banks which causes a growth of plankton which attracts many fish. The most famous fishing region in Eastern Canada in Grand Banks, renowned for its fresh pink salmon.
