Peak 2 Peak Gondola

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is a cable car system that connects the two mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb. It is the first and only gondola system in the world to connect two adjacent mountains. The gondola spans 4.4 kilometers (2.73 miles) and takes 11 minutes to travel from one mountain to the other.

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola has broken three world records, two of which are recognized in the 2015 edition of the Guinness World Records Book. They are:

  • The “longest unsupported span between two cable car towers” at 3.024 kilometers (1.88 miles)
  • The “highest cable car above ground” at 436 meters (1,430.45 feet)

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. It is a popular tourist attraction and is a great way to experience the beauty of Whistler Blackcomb.
